Prakriti Interior

Prakriti Interior is basically just us working out of our spot in Lake Gardens. If you know the area, we're over at 166/C/467, which is pretty close to Mohan Bhawan. It’s a busy part of Kolkata but we like being here because everything is nearby. We spend most of our mornings dealing with wood samples and fabric books scattered all over the desk. Sometimes the office gets a bit messy when we're in the middle of a project, but that's just how it goes when you're trying to figure out where a cabinet should sit or what color paint won't look weird under yellow lights. People usually find us because they live around the neighborhood and saw our sign. We don't really do the big corporate thing. It’s mostly just sitting down with folks, having some tea, and looking at floor plans until we find something that works for their house. Living in Kolkata means dealing with old buildings and tight spaces, so we spend a lot of time measuring walls that aren't actually straight. It can be a headache sometimes. We’ve been at this address for a while now and the locals know where to find us if they need a kitchen redone or just want to ask about tiles. It's not fancy, but we get the job done and try to make sure things don't fall apart. You can usually hear the traffic from the street outside while we're working, but you get used to it after a few years of being here.
