We have been working out of our office here at 4A Ray Street for quite some time now. If you know the Elgin Road area, especially around the Inox, then you know exactly where we are. It is a busy part of Kolkata, but our spot on Ray Street is a bit tucked away which is nice when we are trying to focus on drawings or talking to clients about their homes. We handle mostly interior stuff. Sometimes it is just a single room and other times it is a whole flat that needs fixing up. There are usually a few of us here making phone calls to suppliers or checking on how the wood work is going. We do not have a fancy showroom with lights and everything, just a regular workplace where we get things done. Most people find us through word of mouth or because they live nearby in the Lala Lajpat Rai Sarani area. It gets noisy outside with the traffic, but we are used to it by now. We spend a lot of our day looking at samples of laminates or figuring out where a light switch should go so it is actually useful. It is not always glamorous work. There is a lot of dust and coordinating with different people to make sure things arrive on time. We just try to keep things simple and honest with everyone who walks through the door.
