Space Planners & Interiors is tucked away at No. 5/B, Fern Road in Ballygunge. If you know where the Jagadbandhu Institution is, you’ll find us pretty easily because we are quite near that school. Ballygunge is a nice part of the city with a lot of history, and Fern Road has its own quiet charm compared to the main streets. We spend our days thinking about how to make rooms and offices look better or work more efficiently. It’s not just about fancy drawings for us. We actually spend a lot of time looking at measurements and worrying about where a socket should go or how a door will swing. Being in a residential and institutional area means we get a mix of people dropping by. Some are neighbors, others are parents from the school. We don't have a big corporate office; it’s more of a workshop feel where you might see fabric samples or wood pieces lying around. We try to keep things simple for our clients. We talk about what’s possible given the space they have. Sometimes people come in with ideas that won't work, and we have to be the ones to tell them why, which isn't always fun but it's necessary. Our team is small, and we’ve worked together for a long time. We just enjoy the process of planning out an interior and seeing it actually get built. It's good, honest work that keeps us busy every day.
