Pistos Interiors

We've been at 25A The Legacy for a bit now, down on Level -1. It's not a flashy spot but it works for what we do at Pistos Interiors. Most days it’s just us here in Kolkata 700017, looking over drawings and figuring out how to fit things into rooms. We started doing this because we liked working with our hands. It’s not always easy. Sometimes materials arrive late or the measurements are a hair off, and we have to fix it. That's just part of the job. People come down to the basement to see us and we talk about their houses. We aren't big on fancy speeches. We just show them what can be done with the space they have. The lighting down here isn't the best, but we have all our tools and samples spread out on the big tables. It gets dusty, but that’s how you know work is actually happening. We've seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years. Some days are quiet, others are just phone calls and trying to find the right shade of wood for a cabinet. We don’t really have a big team, just a few of us who know how to handle a hammer and a level. If you're looking for us, just head down to the lower level. We're usually there until the evening, unless we're out at a site checking on how the paint is drying or if the floorboards are straight. It's honest work and we enjoy it.
