We are over at F 102 in the Mayfair Recidency. The address is 316 Hussainpur, which is near the post office in EKTP, Kolkata 700107. The Institute For Steel Development And Growth has been based in this residency for a while. It’s a bit of a mix of residential and office spaces around here. Our office isn't particularly large. It’s basically a flat that we’ve set up for our work. We have a few rooms filled with desks and steel-related documents. It’s a bit ironic, but we don't actually have much steel in the decor. It’s mostly wooden desks and paper. The building itself is decent, though the stairs can be a bit tiring if the lift is acting up, which happens once in a blue moon. Hussainpur is a busy little pocket of Kolkata. You can hear the sounds of the street throughout the day, but it’s not too distracting. We keep things simple. There’s no big reception area with a logo on the wall. You just knock and come in. We have a small kitchen area where we make tea. Most of the staff has been here for years, so we all know each other’s habits. We don't bother with fancy titles or corporate talk. We just focus on the development side of things and handle the paperwork as it comes. It’s a practical, local operation and we prefer it that way. No one here is trying to be anything fancy.
