Individual Consultant

I work as an Individual Consultant out of my space at 11 Majerpara Road, near the Thakurpukur post office in Kolkata. It is not a large firm with lots of employees, just me handling the projects that come my way. I’ve been at this location for a good number of years now. Most of my day is spent at my desk or meeting with people who need some specific advice or help with their paperwork and planning. The office is tucked away a bit, so it is usually quiet enough to get some real work done without too many distractions from the street. I don't have a receptionist or a fancy waiting room. If you come by, you’ll likely find me buried under some files or on the phone. I prefer it this way because I can focus on the details myself. People in the area know where to find me when they have a problem that needs a bit of thinking through. It is a very hands-on type of job. I don't use much technology besides my computer and a printer that sometimes acts up. I grew up around here, so I know the neighborhood well. It is just a simple, honest way to make a living by helping others navigate things they aren't sure about. I usually keep regular hours, but since I work for myself, I’m often here late. It is just how it is when you run your own thing.
