India Metals

India Metals is situated on the first floor at 20, Gulam Sovan Lane. We are right opposite St. Mary School near Ripon Street. It is a busy little area, especially when school lets out. Our place is not very big, and it is usually filled with the smell of metal and a bit of oil. We have been here for a while, working on different metal pieces and parts. It is a bit of a climb up the stairs, and the lighting isn't the best, but we know where everything is. We don't have a fancy showroom. If you want to see what we do, you just have to come into the workshop and look at what is on the benches. We use old tools mostly because they are reliable. My brother and I run the place with one or two helpers. We don't really do big advertising campaigns. Usually, a neighbor or another smith tells someone about us. We drink a lot of water because it gets quite warm inside. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings by the end of the day. We try to sweep up, but it never stays clean for long. We aren't trying to change the world. We just want to make sure the metal we work on is solid and does what it is supposed to do for the customer. It is just honest labor here.
