We operate out of Mcleod House at 3, Netaji Subhas Road. It’s one of those old, sturdy buildings in the heart of the business district. The area is always crowded with people and street vendors selling all sorts of things. Our office is quite traditional. We don’t have open-plan desks or fancy coffee machines. It’s just desks, chairs, and a lot of filing cabinets everywhere. We deal in refractories, which are materials that can stand up to extreme heat in industrial furnaces. Most of our work involves talking to people in the steel and cement industries. We spend a lot of time on the phone or going over technical specifications on paper. It’s not a flashy job. It’s very technical and requires a lot of attention to detail so nothing goes wrong. The office can get quite noisy with the sounds of the street coming through the windows. We’ve been here for a long time, and the place has a lot of history. We are a small team and we know each other well. We don't have a big corporate culture or anything like that. We just come in, do our work, and make sure our clients get the materials they need for their plants. It’s a solid, old-school way of doing business. We just keep things moving along without much fuss. The building itself has a lot of character and we like being in this part of town.
