Giridhari Stores

Giridhari Stores is located in the Kumarkhali area of Kolkata. We are in the 700002 zip code, and it’s a fairly busy part of the city. The store is just a small local shop where we keep all the everyday things people need. I’ve been working here for years, and the routine is pretty much the same every single day. I open up the shutters, check what’s missing from the shelves, and wait for the first customers. It’s a very basic environment. We have tea, sugar, biscuits, and various household items piled up in rows. Sometimes it feels a little disorganized because we have so much stuff in a small space, but I usually know exactly where everything is kept. The neighbors stop by not just to buy things but to have a quick word about their day. That’s the nice thing about a place like Kumarkhali. You know everyone around here. The street noise is constant, but you get used to it after a while. We don't have any big corporate goals or fancy missions. We just want to make sure the people around here don't have to go too far for their basic groceries. It’s a bit of a struggle sometimes keeping up with the prices and the deliveries, but we manage to stay afloat. It is just a regular life in a regular store, and that’s fine with me. We do our best to stay stocked and stay open for the community.
