Our place is at 45A Adya Sradha Ghat Road. It’s right near the river, so it stays a bit breezy, which is nice when we are working during the day. We deal with food products. It’s a private company but we aren't a big operation by any means. We mostly just focus on what we can handle from this one location. The road outside can get quite crowded with people going down to the ghat for prayers or baths. We’ve been here for a bit now and we like the neighborhood. There’s always the smell of something being processed or packed nearby. We have a small crew of workers. We don't use a lot of fancy words for what we do here. We just take the raw food items and get them ready for people to use. It’s a lot of lifting and checking things over. The building is very simple and old. We have a door that we keep open most of the time to let the air in. People walk by and say hello or ask what we are doing. Sometimes the rain comes in a bit, so we have to move the bags quickly. We don't have a website or anything like that. We just talk to people face to face. If someone needs something, they come to the Ghat Road. It’s a local operation. We try to keep our costs low so we can stay in business.
