Working out of Circus Avenue has its ups and downs. Being at 31, Shakespeare Sa, means we are right in the thick of things in a busy part of the city. The building is older, and you can definitely tell when you walk in, but it serves us well enough for what we do. We handle bearings and industrial parts, so things can get a bit oily and heavy around the workspace. It is not the kind of place where you would want to wear a very nice shirt and expect it to stay clean all day. Most of our time is spent looking through catalogs or checking stock in the back rooms. The phones ring pretty often with people asking for specific part numbers, and sometimes it takes a bit of digging to find exactly what they need in the ledger. It is mostly just us and the inventory. We do not have a big lobby or a front desk. Just some desks, some filing cabinets, and a lot of metal components. The traffic outside on the street is always loud, but you get used to it after a few months. We keep things pretty simple here. If someone needs a part, we see if we have it and let them know the price. There is no big secret to it, just keeping track of the numbers and making sure the orders go out to the right places. It is steady work.
