Our office is located at 205 Rabindra Sarani, up on the second floor. Kolkata is a crowded city, and this area is no exception to that rule. It is always busy outside with people and rickshaws moving about. Metal Craft Engineering has been in this building for quite a long time. The stairs are a bit steep, but we are used to the climb every day. Inside, the office is filled with the smell of old paper and the sound of fans spinning overhead. We spend our days dealing with engineering specs and orders for metal parts. It is a lot of technical work, but we have got a good system down after all these years. The windows look out over the street, so you can always see what is going on below. Sometimes it gets a bit loud, but it is just the character of the neighborhood. We have a small crew here, and everyone has their own desk piled with drawings and documents. Lunch usually comes from one of the local spots nearby, or sometimes someone brings a tiffin to share. We don't have any fancy signs or modern decor. It is just a place where we get the work done. The building has a lot of history, and you can feel it in the wooden floors and the high ceilings. We keep track of everything manually for the most part because that is how we have always done it. (253 words)
