Sagar Aluminium Engineering Works

Sagar Aluminium Engineering Works is located at O/6 Bankim Mukherjee Sarani. We are all the way up on the 4th floor of the building. It is a bit of a hike up the stairs if you are carrying something heavy, but we have gotten used to the climb over the years. Our workshop is full of aluminium pieces, saws, and different tools. It is a very industrial space. There is always a lot of noise from the cutting and the drilling. We make a lot of frames and other engineering parts. The floor is usually covered in small silver shavings by the end of the day. We have been working from this spot on Bankim Mukherjee Sarani for quite some time now. We know the building and the people in the other offices. It gets pretty loud during the day, so we usually have to shout a bit to hear each other over the machines. We aren't a big factory, just a small engineering shop. We take on jobs that people bring to us and try to get the measurements exactly right. Sometimes we have to redo a piece if it doesn't fit, which is frustrating but it happens. We keep the windows open to let the air circulate because it gets stuffy with all the metal work. It’s a messy, loud, and honest way to make a living. We just focus on the work and getting it done right.
