We’re located at 9E, Ramchandra Palli in the Silpara area, which is part of Barisha in South Kolkata. It’s a bit of a journey to get here if you’re coming from the center of the city, but it’s a lively neighborhood. Our office for Danieli India Ltd is tucked into this residential and commercial mix. It’s a very local vibe. You see people going about their daily shopping and kids heading to school while we’re walking into the building. The office itself is quite simple. We have our desks, our computers, and a lot of storage for all the project documents we have to keep. It’s not the sort of place with a fancy receptionist or a lounge area. We just have a few chairs for visitors and a table where we can spread out our drawings. The walls are a bit plain, and the floor is just basic tile, but it’s easy to keep clean. We deal with a lot of the technical support from here, so there’s often a lot of talking on the phones and typing. In the afternoons, you can hear the sounds of the neighborhood coming through the windows—the street vendors and the local traffic. It’s an honest place to work, and we like being part of the Silpara community. It feels real, and we just focus on getting our jobs done without any extra flash or corporate noise.
