Durgadas Mukherjee

I’m located at E/19/2 in the Karunamayee Housing Estate. Most people in this part of Kolkata 700064 know the estate well. It’s a large place with many blocks, and I’ve been working out of this particular spot for quite some time. My name is Durgadas Mukherjee, and this is where I see people who need help. It’s not like a big commercial office. It’s more of a quiet, residential setting because it is inside the housing estate. You have the trees and the common paths where people walk their dogs or go for morning strolls. I find that this location makes people feel a bit more relaxed than a busy street corner would. The room I use is simple. I have my desk, some chairs, and my equipment. I don't keep a lot of extra things that aren't necessary. People come here when they have concerns, and we just sit and talk through things. It’s a very direct way of doing things. I’ve lived and worked in Kolkata for many years, and being here in Karunamayee feels right. It’s a stable community. I don’t run any ads or put up big posters. Word of mouth usually brings people to my door at E/19/2. I just stay here and do my work as best as I can every day. It is a peaceful life and I enjoy the routine of meeting my neighbors and helping them out with their needs.
