College Guru Educational Services Llp operates out of the ground floor at 4 Madangopal Lane. It’s part of Ghana Shayam Prasad Gupta’s property, so that’s the name you might see on the gate. The lane is one of those narrow ones where you have to be careful when walking. Inside, the space is filled with stacks of papers, brochures, and a few old computers that have seen better days. It’s a small operation, mostly just a few of us sitting around a large table answering phones and talking to students who wander in looking for help with their applications. We don't have a big sign outside, so people usually find us by asking the neighbors or looking for the house number. The light in the office is a bit dim in the afternoons, but we have a couple of fans that keep the air moving. It’s a very local kind of setup. We don't have a fancy waiting room, so if there are a lot of people, some might have to stand or sit on the stools we keep in the corner. We spend the day looking through college lists and trying to keep track of deadlines. It’s messy sometimes, with files tucked into every corner, but we know where everything is. The neighborhood is quiet for the most part, except for the occasional delivery bike or the sound of kids playing nearby. It is just a practical place for doing our work.
