Hadecha Metal Syndicate is located at 9 Dr. Rajendra Prasad Sarani, which most people around here still call Clive Row. It’s right in the heart of the old trading district. The streets are narrow and always packed with people, handcarts, and vans. Our office is in one of those old buildings with high ceilings and thick walls. It’s a bit dark inside even during the day, so we always have the lights on. We deal with metal trade, so there’s a lot of talk about weights, prices, and grades of material. The phone rings a lot with people asking for quotes. We have stacks of papers and ledgers on the desks because we still like to keep physical records of things. It’s a noisy, busy place to work but we are used to the hum of the city outside. Being on Clive Row means we are close to all the other traders and the banks. We don’t have a fancy showroom. Most of our business is done over the phone or by people dropping in to discuss orders. It’s been this way for years. We aren't trying to be anything we’re not. We just trade metal and manage the logistics of getting it from one place to another. It’s hard work and the days can be long, but it’s what we know. The building is old and sometimes the elevator is grumpy, but it’s home for the business and we've been here for a long time.
