Holiday Destination

Holiday Destination is located right in Laxmi Pur Mart in Kantapur, over in East Burdwan. It’s a small shop, mostly filled with travel brochures and a few computers that have seen better days. We spend most of our time on the phone or looking at train and flight schedules for people in the neighborhood. It’s not a big corporate travel agency; it’s more like a place where you come to sit down and figure out how to get from one place to another without spending too much money. The market outside is always noisy, so there’s a lot of background sound while we are trying to talk to customers. Sometimes the internet goes slow, and we have to ask people to wait a bit while the pages load. We handle a lot of local trips and sometimes bigger ones too. Most people who come in are just looking for a simple way to visit their family or take a short break during the holidays. We don’t have any fancy uniforms or a polished lobby. It’s just us behind a desk, trying to find the best routes through the systems. Sometimes the tea gets cold because we are busy arguing with a booking system, but that’s just how it goes. We’ve been here for a while now, and most of our regular customers just drop in for a chat even when they aren't going anywhere special.
