Our office is situated in the Kalyanpur Housing Estate in Asansol. The specific house number is AS 1/244/I, which is tucked away within the estate area. Asansol is quite a different place compared to the big metros, and being in the Burdwan district gives it a more industrial yet residential feel. The housing estate is fairly quiet compared to the main market areas, which is nice when we are trying to get work done. We’ve been at this P.O. Asansol location for a while. It’s a straightforward setup inside a regular building. You won't find any glass skyscrapers around here, just brick and mortar. The weather in this part of West Bengal can get really hot in the summer, so we mostly stay indoors and keep the fans going. Most of the people working here are locals from the nearby blocks. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that. It’s just desks, chairs, and the usual office supplies you’d expect. Sometimes the mail takes a bit longer to reach us because the numbering in the estate can be a little confusing for new delivery drivers, but we always manage to get our packages. It’s a simple operation, really. We just show up, do what needs to be done, and head home. It feels more like a community here than a cold corporate office, which suits us just fine.
