Bhushan Power & Steel Ltd

Up on the 6th floor of the JK Millennium Centre, things are a bit quieter than they are down on JLN Road. Bhushan Power & Steel Ltd is based here at 46D, and we spend most of our time dealing with the paperwork and logistics side of the steel business. It’s a lot different from being in a mill. We’ve got desks, computers, and files everywhere. You can see the traffic crawling along JLN Road from the windows, which is a good reminder of the city's pace. The elevators in this building can be a bit slow during the lunch hour when everyone is heading out at once. We spend hours on the phone talking to different sites and making sure the power and steel requirements are being met. It’s a lot of coordinating and checking numbers over and over again. The office has that typical hum of computers and air conditioning. We don't really have customers walking in off the street since we are so high up, so it's mostly just our team working through the daily tasks. We have a small corner where we keep the kettle for tea, which is probably the most used spot in the office during the afternoon. It’s steady work, keeping track of everything that moves through the company from this central point in the city, day in and day out, without much change to the routine we have established here.
