Our office is on the 6th floor of the J.K. Millennium Center. That’s at 46-D, Jawahar Lal Nehru Road, right in the heart of Kolkata. Being in such a central spot means we see a lot of the city’s energy every day. We focus on the power and steel side of the industry from here. Even though we’re in a big building, we keep things pretty low-key inside our space. We aren't really into the whole corporate image thing. Most of us just wear regular clothes and get to work. Kolkata is a city that appreciates tradition and hard work, and we try to fit into that. We spend a lot of time on the phone and looking at spreadsheets, making sure the steel gets to where it’s supposed to go. It’s a lot of logistics and talking to different sites. The 700 071 area is always buzzing, and sometimes it's hard to find a quiet moment, but we don't mind. We have our routine. People come by for meetings, and we just give them the facts without any fluff. There’s no need to dress things up when you’re talking about steel and power infrastructure. It’s basic, essential stuff. We’ve been in this building for some time now and it feels like home. We just do the work, plain and simple. Bhushan Power & Steel Limited has been here for years and we plan to stay.
