Bhushan Ltd

We are located out on Delhi Road in Hisar, right where the industrial action happens. Being part of the Jindal Strips setup, specifically the cold rolling division, means the machines are always running. My name is on the gate for Bhushan Ltd, and we’ve been operating out of Post Box 16 for quite some time. It’s a massive place. You can hear the hum of the rollers from the main road. The work is mostly about precision and making sure the metal sheets come out the right thickness. It gets hot in the summer, really hot, but we have our routines to keep going. We don’t spend much time in offices. Most of the day is spent on the floor, checking the gauges and making sure the rolls are moving smoothly. Hisar is a tough place to work sometimes because of the weather, but the crew here is solid. We have people who have been here since the plant first opened. We eat our lunch together in the canteen and talk about local news or the heat. It’s not a fancy corporate life. It’s boots, hard hats, and a lot of metal. When my shift ends, I walk out to the bike stand and head back into town. It’s a long day, but the work is steady and we know what we’re doing with the steel and the machinery around us.
