Bharat Metal Works

Netaji Subhash Road is always loud and crowded with people. We are located over at 71-A in Room D/Sa 191D. People come in looking for specific metal parts and we spend a lot of time trying to find what they need in the big stacks. It is a bit dusty here but that is just how it goes when you deal with this kind of work every day. Bharat Metal Works has been around for a while now. Some days are just about moving heavy sheets around and making sure the counts are right. We keep the shop open early because the traffic on this road gets really bad later in the morning. The room isn't huge so things get piled up pretty high against the walls. You learn to navigate the small spaces between the shelves without thinking about it. Most of our regulars just know to come straight to the back. We do not really do fancy meetings or anything like that. We just talk over the noise of the street and get things sorted. It is hard work, getting your hands dirty and dealing with orders all day long. Sometimes the heat in the building is a bit much in the afternoons, but we have a small fan that helps some. We spend a lot of time checking the inventory against the handwritten slips. It isn't always perfect but we fix mistakes when they happen. If someone needs a specific size of metal, we go look for it. If it is there, we load it up for them.
