Down on Maink Danga Road near the Ghola Bazar it gets pretty loud. We are located at number 67 and it’s a busy spot because of the market being right there. Sodepur is the kind of place where something is always happening and the traffic on the road can be a real headache if you’re trying to move iron and sponge. Our team at Balmukund Sponge & Iron Ltd is usually busy with the phone ringing or people dropping by to talk about orders. The humidity in Kolkata is something else and it makes the warehouse feel twice as small as it actually is. We’ve got a lot of history in this building and you can see it in the way the floors are worn down from all the movement over the years. We aren't really the type to have a fancy reception area or anything like that. Instead you’ll probably find someone sitting on a wooden chair near the door checking the logs. It’s honest work and we try to keep things organized despite how hectic the Bazar gets outside our windows. Getting to 700111 is easy enough by train but once you’re on the street level you really have to watch where you’re going. We just keep our heads down and handle whatever comes through the gate day in and day out. There isn't much more to it than just showing up and getting it done.
