Bablu Roy

My name is Bablu Roy and my workspace is located at 91 33 Block No 18.C/13, in Unit 12. This is part of the South Eastern Railway North Colony, right on Garden Reach Road. It’s a bit of a specific address, but once you are in the colony, it’s not too hard to find. Being in a railway colony gives the whole place a certain feel. You see a lot of railway employees and their families around. I handle various tasks from this small unit. It isn't a big office with a lot of employees. It is mostly just me and sometimes a helper. The room is filled with the things I need for work, mostly papers and a few old ledgers. Garden Reach Road is a busy area with the port nearby and all the trucks. Sometimes the dust from the road gets into the office, so we have to clean the desks quite often. I've been here for a long time and I've seen the area change quite a bit. The work I do is mostly straightforward, helping people with their paperwork or whatever else they need. I don't believe in making things complicated. If someone has a problem, I try to see how I can help. It is a quiet existence here in Unit 12. We follow the rhythm of the colony life. It’s a simple place for simple work, and that is how I like it.
