If you find yourself in Ukilpara, right across from the Pantaloons store, you will see our shop. It’s a busy little corner of the town. We mostly sell parts and things for cars and bikes. The shelves are packed all the way to the ceiling, and sometimes it takes us a minute to find exactly what a customer is looking for. We don't have a big computer system for inventory, so we mostly rely on memory. It gets quite loud outside with all the rickshaws and cars honking, but inside we just focus on the task. We see all kinds of people coming in, from taxi drivers needing a new light bulb to folks wanting to spruce up their family car. My nephew helps me behind the counter most afternoons. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in town, just a reliable one where you can get what you need without a fuss. Often, we’re just sitting on stools out front when it’s quiet, watching the crowd go into the mall across the street. When it gets busy, it’s a lot of climbing ladders and checking boxes. We’ve been at this spot for a few years now, and the neighbors are all friendly. It’s a straightforward business. We show up in the morning, open the shutters, and see who needs help with their vehicle that day. Nothing more to it than that.
