We are over here on the ground floor of the Indraprashtha building, right in Block B. It’s on Pandit Madan Mohan Malvia Sarani, which most people around here still just call by the older names sometimes. It’s a busy spot in Kolkata. We’ve been running Atlantic Shipping Pvt Ltd from this space for a good while now. The office isn’t anything fancy, just a place where we get the work done and handle all the shipping paperwork that comes our way. It gets pretty loud outside with the traffic on Lala Lajpat Rai Sarani, but you get used to it after a few weeks of working here. Usually, the mornings start with a lot of phone calls about where containers are or when a boat is coming in. We spend a lot of time looking at schedules and talking to drivers. It’s a lot of back and forth, honestly. Sometimes the internet acts up or the power flickers, but that’s just how things go in this part of town. We have a small team, just a few of us sitting at desks piled with files and logs. We try to keep things organized, though it looks a bit messy to anyone walking in from the street. People drop by often to drop off documents or ask questions about their shipments. We just keep our heads down and try to make sure everything gets where it’s supposed to go without too much trouble.
