Our office is tucked away at 11/1, 18A, Jubilee Court, right on the 3rd floor. You know Ho Chi Minh Sarani, it’s always got something going on. Midleton Row is right there too. We’ve been here at Alligator Shipping Services Pvt Ltd for a while now. It’s mostly just us handling the paperwork and making sure things get from one place to another without too much trouble. Usually, the phone starts ringing early and it doesn’t really stop until we head home. The office isn't anything fancy, just desks, a few computers, and a lot of files stacked up. Sometimes the lift in the building is a bit slow, so we end up taking the stairs. It keeps us moving, I guess. We handle shipping, which sounds complicated, but it’s really about knowing where things are and who to call. Most days are spent talking to drivers or checking on schedules. It’s a job where you have to pay attention to the small details or things go sideways fast. People come by to drop off documents or just to check on their stuff. We try to keep things simple here. No big corporate speeches or anything like that. Just a bunch of us working in a corner of Kolkata trying to get the day’s work done properly. It’s busy, often loud outside, but we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the street down there.
