Our place, Abg Kolkata Container Terminal Pvt Ltd, is at number 40 on Circular Garden Reach Road. It is right near the South Eastern Railway Colony. If you know Kolkata, you know this part of the city is all about the docks and the trains. The air always has a bit of that industrial smell, a mix of river water and old iron. We are tucked away near the railway tracks, so you can always hear the sound of wagons shifting. The office itself is pretty basic. We spend most of our time dealing with container schedules and talking to the folks down at the yard. It’s more about clipboards, heavy boots, and making sure the containers are where they need to be.
