Atanu Acherjee

Atanu Acherjee is based at 3/145 Sethbagan Road. The address can be a little confusing because it sometimes shows up as 700030 and other times as 700028, but we are right there in Dumdum regardless. It is a typical Kolkata neighborhood with a mix of houses and small businesses all jumbled together. The office itself is quite small and tucked away. It isn't the kind of place that has a big storefront with lights. You have to be looking for the number 3/145 to find us. Inside, it is very simple. I have a wooden desk and a couple of chairs for when people stop by. There is a shelf with some books and papers that have been there for years. The floor is made of old tiles that have seen better days, but they are easy to clean. Sethbagan Road is always busy with people going to work or the market. I like being part of the local community here. It is a very normal, everyday kind of existence. I don't spend money on marketing or trying to look bigger than I am. I just focus on the tasks I have for the day and try to keep up with everything. Sometimes the power goes out for a few minutes, which is just part of living in this city. You just wait for it to come back on and then get back to work. It is a plain, honest place to be for me.
