Ashish Industrial Corporation

Bentinck Street is always crowded, and our place at Ashish Industrial Corporation is right in the middle of that mess. We’re on the first floor of number 64, which means you have to walk up those old stairs that have seen better days. If you look out the window, you can see the Orient Cinema right across from us. It’s a bit of a landmark, so people usually don't have trouble finding the building. Inside, things are a bit cramped because we have boxes of industrial parts stacked up everywhere. It’s mostly stuff like valves, pipes, or whatever else people are looking for that week. The fans hum all day trying to keep the humid air moving, but it doesn't do much. We’ve been here for years, and the walls are covered with old calendars and scribbled phone numbers. It’s a lot of paperwork and talking on the phone with suppliers. Sometimes the noise from the street is so loud we have to shout over it. It’s just the way things are in this part of town. We get a lot of regular customers who have been coming to us since before the theater changed. It’s a busy spot, and there’s always something that needs to be sorted out or delivered. We don’t have any fancy displays, just the stock and a few chairs for anyone who needs to wait. It’s a practical setup for the kind of work we do. There is always tea being made somewhere in the back.
