Ahw Steels Ltd

We are located on the 3rd floor of Manorama Abason on Babutala Lane. It is more of an office setup here than a full steel yard like our other spots. We handle a lot of the coordination and paperwork from this flat in Kolkata. It is a bit cramped with all the files and the desks but it stays cool enough with the ceiling fans running all day. Being in a residential building means we have to keep the noise down so we don't bother the families living nearby. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to the other sites or talking to suppliers about deliveries. Sometimes the lift in the building doesn't work so we get plenty of exercise climbing up to the third floor. The neighborhood is typical for this part of the city with narrow lanes and lots of people walking around. We have our lunch together most days in the small kitchen area. It is usually something simple brought from home. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone to make us look fancy online. We just do the work that comes in. Most of the time we are just tracking shipments or checking prices on the market to see what is changing. It can be a bit boring compared to being out in the yard but it is necessary for the company. We have stayed at this address for a long time.
