Shrikant Spices & Pickles

Our place is at Plot No.1318/B3 in the C Ward of Laxmipuri. We are right near Ravi Bank, so that’s usually how people find us when they are looking. At Shrikant Spices & Pickles, there is always something marinating or getting mixed. The smell of vinegar and chili is pretty constant in our workspace. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so you might see different cousins or siblings helping out on any given day. We use a lot of jars and bottles, and they take up a lot of space on the shelves. The floor can get a bit sticky if we aren't careful, so we spend a lot of time cleaning up. Laxmipuri is a busy neighborhood with plenty of people walking by. We often have people sticking their heads in just to see what we are making today. We don't have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy ads for us. We just make the pickles and the spices the way we learned how. Some days are longer than others, especially when the seasonal fruits come in for the pickling. We have to work fast then. It's a lot of chopping and stirring. We don't have much in the way of office space, just a small corner with a ledger where we keep track of the sales. It’s a bit cramped, but we make it work. The light in the shop isn't great, but we know where everything is kept.
