New Maharaja Garden

New Maharaja Garden is located on Kolhapur Road in Sangli, right behind the Kusti Akhada. It's a bit of an interesting spot because you can often hear the sounds from the akhada while you’re sitting here. We have a bit of outdoor space which is nice when the sun starts going down and it gets a little cooler. I’ve been helping out here for a few years now. It’s a family-run kind of thing, and we don't really go for anything too polished or corporate. The garden area has some plants that need watering every day, and sometimes the chairs aren't perfectly aligned, but it feels like home to us. People come here when they want to sit outside for a change. We get a lot of locals from Sangli who are just looking for a place to relax after work. It’s not a big fancy establishment, just a regular place where we serve food and try to keep everyone happy. Sometimes the service is a bit slow when we have a big group, but we do our best to catch up. I usually handle the front and chat with the regulars while they wait for their parcels or seats. Being behind the Kusti Akhada gives us a bit of a landmark so people don't get lost finding us on Kolhapur Road. It is just a steady, quiet business we have going on here day after day. We like it that way.
