Shree Hanumantrao Chate School

Our school is located in a bit of an unusual spot. We are up on the second floor of the Shahaji Stadium Complex in Shahupuri. Being in Kolhapur, it’s a lively area with people coming and going for sports or just walking through the complex. You have to climb some stairs to get to us. The classrooms look out over the stadium grounds sometimes. It’s a different vibe than a regular school building on its own plot of land. We share the space with other offices and activities happening in the stadium. It can get a bit noisy when there is an event going on downstairs, but we are used to it by now. The kids don't seem to mind the stairs. We have the usual desks and chairs set up in the rooms we've got. The hallways are narrow, so everyone has to be careful when moving between classes. Most of the staff comes from around Kolhapur and knows the city well. We don't have a big playground of our own since we are in the complex, but the stadium is right there. It’s a very practical setup for a school in a busy city center. We just focus on the lessons and keeping things organized in our corner of the building.
