Alpha International English Medium School

Our school is tucked away behind the old MSEB building in Miraj. It’s part of the Gateway Ministries International area, so it’s a bit off the main road. The location is actually quite good because it stays away from the worst of the traffic noise from the Sangli side. We have been running the English medium classes here for a while now. The building is a simple one, with classrooms that get plenty of light during the day. We have a mix of teachers who live nearby and some who come from further away in town. Every morning is the same routine with the gates opening and the students lining up. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations on the walls, just the charts and drawings the kids make. The playground is where most of the energy is during the break times. We deal with the usual school problems like broken furniture or needing a fresh coat of paint here and there. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes when we have school events, but we make it work. The parents in Miraj seem to appreciate having a school that is easy to get to. We just focus on the daily lessons and making sure the kids follow the rules. It’s a lot of responsibility, but we just take it one day at a time. The staff here works hard to keep things going smoothly every single day.
