Narake Panhala Public School

Our school building is situated on the Panhala Road in Kerli. It is just outside Kolhapur. Being on the way to Panhala, we get a bit of that hill station breeze sometimes. The school is called Narake Panhala Public School. We have a decent-sized building where the kids come every day. It is a bit of a drive from the main city, but it is quieter out here. The air is a bit fresher than in the middle of Kolhapur. We have a lot of students who come in by bus. The morning assembly happens in the open area when the weather is good. We have the usual mix of classrooms and a small office where we handle the fees and the paperwork. It is not a polished corporate school. We have some cracked paint here and there, and the playground gets a bit muddy when it rains. But the kids do not seem to mind. They like being outside. The staff is mostly local people from Kerli or the surrounding villages. We understand the way things work around here. We do not try to be something we are not. We just provide a place for the children to learn their lessons. It is a lot of routine work, like checking uniforms and making sure the bells ring on time. It is a steady life for everyone involved. We just keep the school running day after day for the kids in the neighborhood.
