Over on 100 Feet road in Sangli, our chemistry institute is easy enough to spot if you’re looking for it. It’s a bit of a trek for some, but the road is wide and there’s usually some space to park a scooter. Inside, the rooms are filled with the kind of stuff you’d expect for chemistry. We have charts of the elements on the walls, though some of the corners are starting to curl a bit from the humidity. It’s not a massive place, but we make use of every inch we have. Chemistry can be a bit of a headache for a lot of students, so we spend a lot of time going over the same things until it clicks. You’ll often hear the scratch of chalk or markers on the boards. We don't really have a front desk or a receptionist; usually, one of us just looks up from a book when someone walks through the door. The afternoon sun hits the front windows pretty hard, so we keep the curtains drawn most of the time to stay cool. It’s a quiet kind of work most days, interrupted only by the sound of students chatting as they head out for a snack. We’ve got a rhythm here that works for us. It’s just about showing up, doing the work, and making sure the students have what they need to understand their lessons. No bells or whistles, just a regular place for regular study.
