If you head down Kolhapur Road, you’ll find us right in the city. The school is a big part of the daily life around here. We have a fairly large campus and there’s always something going on. Dr. Cyrus Poonawala International School isn't just about the name; it’s just where we work every day. The morning starts with the sound of buses and cars pulling up. We have a lot of stairs and the kids are always running up and down them even though we tell them not to. The classrooms are decent and we try to keep the light bulbs changed and the fans working. It gets pretty busy in the main office with people coming in for forms or just to ask about things. We have a bit of a garden area, though it takes a lot of water to keep it looking okay in the Kolhapur heat. The staff room is usually full of half-eaten lunches and stacks of notebooks. We don't really have a polished way of doing things, we just handle what comes up. Sometimes the schedule gets messed up because of a local holiday or some event, but we just adjust. It’s a regular school day most of the time. We are just here on the road, doing what schools do. People seem to know the way to our gates easily enough. It is just a part of the city landscape and we stay busy.
