Kalika Engineering Works

Kalika Engineering Works is located in Shed No. 88 and 89 within Shivam Estate. You can find us on Mahakali Mandir Road, which is quite close to the Chhatral GIDC area. The GIDC is always humming with activity, and our sheds are no different. There is usually the sound of metal hitting metal or the hum of machines running throughout the day. It gets hot inside during the summer months, but we keep the big doors open to let some air in. The floor is often covered in a bit of oil and metal shavings, which is expected in an engineering workshop. We have been here at Shivam Estate for some time, and we know the other guys in the neighboring sheds. It’s a grit-and-grind kind of place. We don't have a reception desk or a waiting room; if you come by, you’ll likely find us in our overalls working on a part. The Mahakali Mandir is a good landmark for people visiting us for the first time. We do a lot of fabrication and repair work here. It’s honest work that keeps us busy from morning until late evening. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish a specific job for a client. We just take it one day at a time and try to do a decent job with the tools we have. It’s a simple operation, run by people who aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty.
