Vasisht Sewa Sangh Inter College

This inter college is situated in Mahewa Kalan, which is part of the Nahwai area in Allahabad. It’s a bit of a rural setting, away from the main hustle of the city center. We have been here for a good while, serving the local village kids and those from nearby spots. The building itself is older, with thick walls that stay somewhat cool when the sun is out. Allahabad can get very hot, as anyone around here knows. We have classrooms for the older students since it’s an inter college. Most of the kids walk here or come on cycles from the surrounding fields. It’s a very grounded kind of place. We don’t have fancy elevators or air conditioning, just ceiling fans and open windows. The teachers are mostly local people who understand the life around Mahewa Kalan. We see the same families year after year. It is a simple life here, focused on the books and the exams. There is a small playground area where the students gather during the breaks. You can hear the bells ringing across the fields when the periods change. We just keep the gates open and the lessons going. It’s an important spot for the community here because there aren’t many other colleges close by. We just do our work and go home at the end of the day. It has been our routine for many years now.
