B G I College

B G I College is situated in Akhari Shahpur, right near the Meja Road area in Allahabad. It’s a bit of a drive out from the main city, so it’s surrounded by a lot of open land and some smaller villages. The college has a few blocks of buildings where the different departments are located. Most of the students come from the surrounding rural areas, often traveling by bus or bicycle to get here. The classrooms are basic, with ceiling fans that hum all day and rows of benches. We have a small office area where the administrative stuff happens, like checking IDs and handing out exam forms. It’s usually pretty busy in the mornings when the first set of lectures begins. There’s a lot of walking between the buildings, and the ground can be a bit uneven in places. We don't have a big fancy canteen, just a small spot where people can get tea or some snacks during the break. The atmosphere is generally quite relaxed, with students hanging out in the shade of the trees between their classes. We focus on getting the lectures done and making sure the syllabus is covered before the end of the year. Being out near Meja Road means it’s quieter than the colleges in the middle of Allahabad, which some people prefer. It’s just a regular local college trying to do its part for the students in this corner of the district. We keep things running as best as we can every day.
