Shri Ishvardin Chhedilal Inter College

Shri Ishvardin Chhedilal Inter College is right on the Main Road over in Jasra, which is part of the Allahabad area. Being on Jasara Rad means we see a lot of traffic passing by all day long. This is an inter college, so we have the older students here who are finishing up their schooling. The building is a solid, older structure that has been part of Jasra for quite a while. We have several classrooms where the students sit for their lectures. It can get pretty dusty with the road being so close, so there’s a lot of cleaning to do. We have a staff room where the teachers gather to grade papers and drink tea during their breaks. The students come from the surrounding villages and the town itself. During exam time, the whole place gets very quiet and serious. We don't have all the high-tech equipment you might find in a big city, but we have the basics like chalkboards and benches. The courtyard is where the students hang out when they aren't in class. It’s a busy place and we spend a lot of time managing the schedules and making sure everyone is where they should be. We’ve been here a long time, and the locals all know the name. It’s a straightforward school for the youth in this part of Allahabad to get through their intermediate years and move on to whatever is next.
