Melasurankudy School

Melasurankudy School has been around Nagercoil for quite a while now. Most people around here just call it by the local name. It is located right in the 629002 area, and you cannot really miss it if you are walking through the neighborhood. The mornings are usually the busiest time because parents are dropping off their kids on scooters and the main gate gets a bit crowded. We have a few classrooms and a small play area where the younger ones spend their break time. It is not a huge place, but it gets the job done. The teachers here mostly live nearby, so everyone knows everyone else’s family. We spend a lot of time just keeping things running, fixing the fans when they stop working or making sure the benches are in good shape. Sometimes the rain makes the yard a bit muddy, but the kids do not seem to mind much. Lunchtime is quite loud because everyone sits together and shares what they brought from home. We do not have fancy gadgets or anything, just blackboards, chalk, and books. It is a simple setup. Most of us have been working here for years, so we have seen a lot of kids grow up and move on to high school. It is just a normal part of life here in Nagercoil. People stop by to ask about admissions or just to say hello to the staff. It stays pretty quiet once the final bell rings and everyone heads home for the day.
