Government High School Kanjiracode

This is the government high school located in Kanjiracode, under the Unnamalaikadai Post. It’s a public building and has been a staple in this community for many years. We have a lot of students coming from the nearby villages and houses. The building is old but sturdy enough for our needs. We have several blocks for the different classes. It’s a large property, so there’s a good amount of open space for the kids to walk around during their breaks. It isn't always perfectly quiet, especially when the wind carries the sound of the students across the grounds. We deal with the usual things you’d expect at a government school. There are always small repairs to be done or something that needs fixing in the classrooms. The teachers here work hard to keep up with the curriculum. We have a lot of students in each class, so it can be quite a handful at times for the staff. The desks are well-worn and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it’s a functional place for learning. We don't have fancy extras. The focus is just on the lessons and getting the students through their exams. In the rainy season, things can get a bit muddy around the entrances. It’s a very practical environment. Everyone knows everyone else here, and we just keep things moving along.
