Manick Chowk is always full of people, and our shop is right in the thick of it. We deal in locks and security items. The shelves are packed with all sorts of metal bits and keys. It’s a bit dark inside because of how much stock we have, but we know where every single item is kept. If you ask for a specific lock, we can usually pull it out from a back shelf in a few seconds. We’ve been doing this for a long time, and the shop hasn't changed much. The floor is old stone and the counters are worn down from years of customers leaning on them. We don't have a website or any fancy advertisements. Word of mouth is how we get most of our visitors. Sometimes we just sit and watch the traffic go by when it's slow. We drink a lot of chai throughout the day. People come to us because they know we have the stuff that the big modern hardware stores don't carry. It’s a simple business.
