Frontier Alloy Steel Ltd. is located over at E-14 in the Panki Industrial Area, specifically Site-I. It is a rugged part of town where everyone is working with metal or chemicals. Our site is big enough to handle the steel we move through here. The air usually smells like iron and old oil, which is something you just get used to after a week on the job. We have these big gates at E-14 that stay open most of the day for the deliveries. Inside, the ceilings are high and the echoes are loud. We don’t have much in the way of air conditioning, so we rely on big industrial fans to keep the air circulating. Most of us have been here for years, and we know exactly where every tool and piece of scrap is kept. The office is just a small room off to the side with a couple of desks and a lot of filing cabinets. We take our tea breaks outside when it’s not too dusty. Panki is a tough place to work sometimes, but it’s where the industry is. We don’t put on any acts for visitors; they see the work happening exactly as it is. Some days are slow and we clean the machines, other days we can barely keep up with the pace. It’s just the life of a steel company in a busy industrial zone, and we are quite comfortable with that reality.
