Over here at 123/787 Faraziganj, we deal with all kinds of steel stuff every single day. It’s a bit dusty and loud because of all the metal moving around, but that’s just how it goes in this line of work. We’ve got piles of rods and sheets stacked up in the back. My hands are usually a bit dirty from moving things, and there's always a truck coming or going in the alleyway. We started this place because there was a need for good metal nearby. It isn't a huge operation with fancy offices or anything like that. Just a few of us working hard to get the orders ready. Sometimes we have to double-check the weights on the scale to make sure everything is right before it goes out. People from the neighborhood stop by for small bits of steel for their houses, or sometimes bigger contractors need a lot more for a project. We keep our notes in a thick ledger on the desk. It’s a bit old-fashioned, but it works for us. Faraziganj is a busy area, so there’s always something happening outside our door. We try to keep things organized, but when a big shipment arrives, it can get a little messy for a few hours. That’s just part of the business at Maa Padmawati Steels. We’re here most mornings before the sun gets too hot and stay until the work is finished.
