Shri Nikhileshwar Senior Secondary School

We started Shri Nikhileshwar Senior Secondary School a while back here on Indora Talwara Road. It's a busy enough spot in Kangra but inside the gates it's mostly just kids running around and making a lot of noise. We keep things pretty simple here. There's the main building and some space for playing during recess. Every morning the buses roll in from the nearby villages. It gets quite dusty in the summer and then it gets really cold in the winter, being in Himachal and all. The teachers here mostly live nearby and know the families well. We don't have fancy stuff, just classrooms and books and benches. Most days are about getting through the lessons before the afternoon bell rings. Sometimes parents drop by to talk about grades or just to see how their kids are doing. It’s a local place. We try to keep the yard clean but it's hard with so many children. We've seen a lot of them grow up here, from small children to teenagers finishing their secondary exams. It's just a regular school where we try to do the work. Nothing too fancy. People know where we are, right on the road heading toward Talwara. We spend a lot of time just managing the daily schedule and making sure the water tanks are full. It's a lot of work but it's what we do. The classrooms have old desks and the walls could probably use some paint.
