Green Field Sr. Sec. School

Green Field Sr. Sec. School is located in Nagrota Bagwan, over in the Kangra district. It’s a nice enough area with the mountains not too far off in the distance. The school itself is a practical building designed to handle the weather we get here in Himachal. We have students coming from all the surrounding hills and valleys. The morning assembly is usually a bit chilly, but things warm up once the sun hits the courtyard. We’ve got the senior secondary classes, so the older students are always buried in their textbooks, especially when the board exams are around the corner. The younger ones are a bit louder, of course. Our facilities are basic but functional. We have a playground that sees a lot of use and classrooms that are filled with the usual wooden desks and green boards. We don't spend money on fancy brochures or advertisements; the school’s reputation in Nagrota Bagwan is mostly built on what people say to each other at the market. Sometimes the roof leaks a little when the monsoon hits hard, and we have to move some desks around, but we manage. It’s a down-to-earth place where the focus is on the kids getting through their school years without any unnecessary drama. We’re just a local school doing our part in the Kangra valley, keeping things simple and honest.
